A Partnership That's Working For Bayonne

Bayonne is thriving today, partly due to a unique public/private partnership agreement between the City and Veolia North America.

The agreement helped Bayonne overcome major financial and water system problems that threatened the city's future, and it paved the way for economic growth and development.

The Partnership Agreement gave Bayonne an upfront $150 Million payment that closed a recurring annual $30 million budget gap, finally ending threats of lay-offs and large tax increases.
Before the agreement, Bayonne was actually losing 40% of the water flowing through its antiquated 100 year old pipes -- leading to a city-wide construction ban by the NJDEP.
This unique agreement opened the door for MOTBY development and other economic growth while providing safe, clean drinking water for all residents for years to come.
